UKSSSC - 90 Asst. Agri. Officer (AAO) Online Form 2026

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC), headquartered in Dehradun, is the apex recruitment body for Group C and equivalent posts in the state government of Uttarakhand. This recruitment drive is being conducted under the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry departments to fill vacancies in Group 'G' cadre through direct selection. The notified posts include Assistant Agriculture Officer Class 1 (Vikas Shakha, Non-Gazetted) which carries Level-7 pay scale, Assistant Agriculture Officer Class 3 under the Agriculture Department, and Fodder Assistant Group 3 under the Animal Husbandry Department, both at Level-4 pay scale. These positions play a key role in implementing agricultural schemes, providing technical support to farmers, and strengthening the rural agricultural extension infrastructure across the state of Uttarakhand. The recruitment is being carried out as per the rules applicable to Group 'G' direct recruitment posts outside the purview of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission. Candidates will be assessed through a single-stage objective written examination, and final selection will be based on merit, subject to verification of all eligibility criteria including education, domicile, and reservation category at the document verification stage.

Candidates must be Indian citizens or fall within related categories prescribed for state government recruitment. For Assistant Agriculture Officer Class 1 (Vikas Shakha), the mandatory qualification is a post-graduate degree in Agriculture from a university or institution established by law in India. For Assistant Agriculture Officer Class 3, the mandatory qualification is a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or institution established by law in India. For Fodder Assistant Group 3 (under Animal Husbandry Department), the required qualification is B.Sc. (Agriculture). In all cases, preferential consideration (desirable qualification) is given to candidates who have served for a minimum of two years in the Territorial Army, or who hold 'B' or 'C' certificate from the National Cadet Corps. For Fodder Assistant Group 3, an additional desirable qualification is that candidates must have a good knowledge of Devanagari script and Hindi. All candidates must have their high school and intermediate education or equivalent from institutions recognized by the Uttarakhand government. Domicile of Uttarakhand or registration at an employment exchange in Uttarakhand is required. OBC certificate must be valid as per Uttarakhand government norms and issued under Act 310/XVII-2-16-02(OBC)/2012 dated 26.02.2016, valid up to 3 years from date of issuance and must be valid through the application deadline.

As per Uttarakhand government reservation rules: Scheduled Castes 19%, Scheduled Tribes 4%, Other Backward Classes 14%, and Economically Weaker Sections 10% vertical reservation. Horizontal reservation includes: women of Uttarakhand 30%, ex-servicemen of Uttarakhand 5%, freedom fighter dependents 2%, persons with disabilities 4%, orphan children 5%, skilled sportspersons 4%, and Uttarakhand State Movement activists 10%. EWS candidates must hold a valid certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 21-06-2026 for FY 2025-26 income, valid for FY 2026-27. OBC certificate must comply with Uttarakhand OBC reservation act and be valid through application last date. State Movement activists' 10% horizontal reservation is subject to pending High Court matter WP-PIL 152/24.
