UPSSSC - 2759 Technical Assistant Online Form 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow, conducts recruitment to Group-C posts across various state government departments on behalf of the requisitioning departments. This recruitment, bearing Advertisement Number 06-Pariksha/2026, is conducted under the two-tier examination system mandated by the state government, wherein only candidates who have qualified the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) are eligible to appear in the Main Written Examination. The present recruitment is for the post of Technical Assistant Group-C under the Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Technical Assistants serve as field-level technical personnel supporting agriculture extension activities, soil conservation measures, crop management advisory, and implementation of central and state government agricultural schemes at the district and block levels. These are permanent posts placed at Pay Matrix Level-4 under the 7th Pay Commission, offering stable government employment with all associated service benefits under Uttar Pradesh government service rules. The post falls under the U.P. Subordinate Agriculture Service Rules 1993 as amended, and recruitment is governed by the Direct Recruitment (Procedure and Method) Rules 2015 applicable to Group-C posts.

Candidates must be Indian citizens. The mandatory educational qualification, as per U.P. Subordinate Agriculture Service Rules 1993 (as amended), is a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or an equivalent degree from a recognised institution or university established by law in India. Equivalent qualifications accepted include B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agro-Forestry, B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering), and a four-year B.Sc. degree in Home Science or Community Science awarded by an Agricultural University. Candidates must hold the required qualification on or before the last date of application, i.e., 11-06-2026. Age limits are 21 to 40 years as on the first of July of the calendar year in which vacancies are advertised, with relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, and other categories as per UP government rules. Candidates seeking reservation or age relaxation must possess valid caste, EWS, or other certificates issued up to the last date of application. EWS candidates must hold a certificate based on income for financial year 2025-26, valid for 2026-27. Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and received a scorecard from the commission are eligible to apply for this Main Examination; candidates scoring zero or negative marks in PET are not eligible.

Reservation is as per Uttar Pradesh government rules. Vertical reservation: Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) at 10% for EWS as per UP Act 2020. Horizontal reservation: Dependants of Freedom Fighters (DFF), PwBD at 4% across groups (LV, HH, OL, OA, LC, Dw, AAV sub-categories), Ex-Servicemen (military discharged/ex-servicemen), women, and outstanding sportspersons. For this post, horizontal reservation numbers are: DFF 55, blind/LV 37, HH 37, locomotor/other (OL, OA, LC, Dw, AAV) 36, Ex-Servicemen/retired military 137, women 551, outstanding sportspersons 55. UP female candidates are placed in their relevant vertical category. OBC (non-creamy layer) and EWS candidates must meet the income/asset criteria prescribed by the state government.
