| 📖 Overview |
|---|
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) functions under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, and is the country's premier organisation responsible for the research and development of advanced defence systems and technologies for the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. DRDO operates a vast network of laboratories, establishments, and units spread across India, engaged in developing state-of-the-art battlefield systems, electronics, missiles, aeronautics, naval systems, armaments, and life sciences. The CEPTAM-11 recruitment drive targets the filling of technical support positions across these laboratories under the DRDO Technical Cadre (DRTC). Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) positions are Group B, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts requiring diploma or BSc-level qualifications in relevant engineering and science disciplines. Technician-A (Tech-A) positions are Group C posts requiring ITI-level qualifications in specified trades. Both categories carry all-India service liability, meaning selected candidates may be posted to any of DRDO's establishments across the country. Recruited personnel are entitled to central government benefits including dearness allowance, HRA, transport allowance, children's education allowance, leave travel concession, medical facilities, CSD facility, and coverage under the National Pension System or Unified Pension Scheme. Candidates are initially appointed on probation for two years and are liable to serve at the allotted station for a minimum of five years before transfer requests are considered. |
