Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer has released a recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Prosecution Officer (Sahayak Abhiyojan Adhikari) under the Prosecution Department, Rajasthan. A total of 371 non-scheduled area and 3 scheduled area posts are to be filled through online application.

Eligible candidates holding a Degree in Law from a recognised university with working knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri script may apply online through the official SSO portal. Selection is based on a two-stage competitive examination comprising a preliminary and a main written examination.

The recruitment is governed by the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Service Rules, 1978 and the Rajasthan Government Servants Selection Procedure Rules, 2014. 🎓 Eligibility Details

Candidates must hold a Degree in Law (Professional) or an integrated Law Course from a University established by law in India. Additionally, working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script and familiarity with Rajasthani dialects and social customs of Rajasthan is required. The age limit is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 40 years as on 01.01.2027. Age relaxations are available for residents of Rajasthan belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, More Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections as per state government rules. Women candidates from the General category get a 5-year relaxation; SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS women of Rajasthan get 10 years. Widow and divorced women have no upper age limit. Ex-Servicemen are eligible for relaxation of up to 15 years in age as per Rajasthan Civil Services (Absorption of Ex-Servicemen) Rules 1988, subject to the condition that permissible age after relaxation does not exceed 50 years (55 years for direct recruitment to lower posts). Persons with Benchmark Disabilities receive 5 years of relaxation as per the Rajasthan Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018. Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying law degree may apply provisionally. Candidates must be Indian citizens and must meet domicile or category certificate conditions as prescribed.

Reservation follows Rajasthan government norms. Horizontal reservation includes: Ex-Servicemen (ESM) sub-category within each caste group; widows and divorcees (WD category); and persons with disabilities (DV). Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBC, More Backward Classes, and EWS vertical reservation applies as per state rules. Women candidates of General category get 5-year age relaxation; SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS women get 10 years. Widow and divorced women face no upper age limit. PwBD candidates get 5-year age relaxation under Rajasthan Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC belonging to creamy layer or from other states are treated as General category. Backlog vacancies from 2024 are included in the advertised posts.

    Complete One Time Registration (OTR)

    Visit https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in and click the Apply Online link or log in to the SSO portal at https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in to access the Recruitment Portal. Complete One Time Registration by providing personal details, Aadhaar/Janaadhaar card details, and self-photograph.

    Fill online application form

    Log in via SSO portal, select the recruitment from the Citizen Apps (G2C) Recruitment Portal, and complete all required fields including educational qualifications, experience details, and category information.

    Upload live photograph via OTM

    At the time of submitting the online application, a live photo will be captured via the device's camera (OTM). Candidates must ensure the photo is clear before submitting.

    Upload thumb impression scans

    Right and left hand thumb impression scans (OTM-captured) must be uploaded during the online application. These impressions will also be verified at the examination centre.

    Select scribe preference

    Candidates requiring a scribe must mandatorily select the scribe preference option in the online application form and provide the required scribe-related details.

    Pay examination fee

    Pay the applicable one-time examination fee (OTR fee) as prescribed. Fee payment unlocks the OTR and is required before the application is considered complete.

    Final submission and printout

    Submit the online application before the last date. After submission, download and retain a printout of the application form for future reference. No offline application forms will be accepted.

⚠️ Important Instructions
  • Use only the mobile number and email ID on which future SMS and email notifications can be received.
  • Do not change mobile number or email ID during the recruitment cycle; inform RPSC if change is necessary.
  • Submit the online application before the last date; network issues at the last moment are the applicant's responsibility.
  • Candidates filling wrong information will have their application rejected; no offline corrections accepted after submission.
  • Correction in OTR profile (name, father's name, DOB, gender) requires Aadhaar/Janaadhaar — correct in Aadhaar first, then update OTR profile before applying.
  • Online correction window of 10 days after last date allows corrections on payment of Rs. 500/-.
  • RPSC opens online edit facility 60 days before first announced exam date for up to 7 days.
  • Candidates of wrong category whose application is processed under that category will not get fee refund or reclassification benefit.
  • Provisionally admitted candidates must bring full application with required documents to examination/interview.
  • Candidates from Rajasthan SC/ST/OBC/Pasmanda communities from creamy layer are to apply as General category.
  • Widow/divorcee applying for category benefit must submit court decree or husband's death certificate.
  • Mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited in examination centres.
  • Candidates must bring a new photo identity document to the examination centre on the date of examination.
  • Answer all OMR questions using BLUE BALL POINT PEN only; darken only one circle per question.
  • If not attempting a question, darken circle '5'; leaving all five blank results in 1/3 deduction.
  • Candidates who have not darkened any of the five circles in more than 10% questions shall be disqualified.
