📖 Overview

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer conducts the Combined State Services Competitive Examination to fill vacancies in Rajasthan State Services and Rajasthan Subordinate Services through direct recruitment. This examination is one of the most prestigious state-level civil services examinations in Rajasthan, providing entry into Group A and Group B posts across various departments of the Rajasthan government. The State Services cadre (192 posts) includes services such as Rajasthan Administrative Service, Rajasthan Police Service, Rajasthan Accounts Service, Rajasthan Cooperative Service, Rajasthan Tehsildar Service, and several others spread across administrative, revenue, police, social justice, agriculture, and allied departments. The Subordinate Services cadre (415 posts) covers subordinate-level administrative, revenue, and welfare posts under Non-Scheduled Area (NSA) and Scheduled Area (SA) designations. Recruitment is governed by the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services (Direct Recruitment through Combined Competitive Examination) Rules, 1999 and associated notifications. Posts are permanent and candidates upon selection are placed in pay matrix levels ranging from L-10 to L-14 depending on the service. The examination is conducted in two successive stages — a Preliminary screening test and a Main Examination — followed by a Personality and Viva-Voce interview, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of candidates across academic knowledge, analytical ability, and personal attributes.
