The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), headquartered at Agriculture Campus, Durgapura, Jaipur, is the state's primary recruitment authority for subordinate and ministerial services. This recruitment drive, Advertisement No. 07/2026, covers two distinct posts — Senior Computer Instructor and Basic Computer Instructor — across two departments: the Secondary Education Department (under Rajasthan Education State and Subordinate Service Rules, 2021 as amended) and the Sanskrit Education Department (under Rajasthan Sanskrit Education State and Subordinate Service School Branch Rules, 2015 as amended). These positions are critical to expanding computer education across government schools in Rajasthan, both in the general (non-scheduled) area and the scheduled (tribal) area. The scheduled area positions are administered separately with distinct reservation norms applicable to ST-area domicile residents only. Candidates selected will be placed in government schools across various districts of Rajasthan based on merit-cum-priority, with department preference to be filled at the time of application. The recruitment process is entirely online through the SSO Portal and involves a competitive computer-based or OMR-based examination. Probationary appointees will receive a fixed monthly remuneration as determined by the state government during the two-year probation period.

Candidates must be Indian citizens or fall within specified categories including subjects of Nepal and Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who settled in India before 1 January 1962, or persons of Indian origin who have migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India. For the post of Senior Computer Instructor, candidates must hold ME/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, ECE, Electrical Engineering, EEE, ETE, or EIE; or M.Sc in CS/IT; or MCA / B Level / C Level certification, or equivalent qualification recognized by the government. For Basic Computer Instructor, candidates must hold a graduate degree plus A Level or PGDCA (minimum one year); or BE/B.Tech in CS, IT, ECE, EE, EEE, EIC, or TIE; or B.Sc in CS/IT; or BCA from a recognized Indian university; or any equivalent qualification recognized by the government. Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are eligible to apply provisionally but must produce proof of passing before specified stages of the selection process. Practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is also required. Ex-Servicemen with a certificate equivalent to graduation after 15 years of military service may also apply under relaxed conditions. Candidates must be in good mental and physical health with no defect likely to interfere with their duties.

Reservation for non-scheduled area posts follows Rajasthan state norms: GEN unreserved, EWS 10%, SC 16%, ST 12%, OBC 21%, MBC 5%, Saharia primitive tribe (Baran district) separately notified. Women candidates get 30% horizontal reservation category-wise, of which 8% is for widows and 2% for divorced women. Ex-Servicemen are entitled to 12.5% horizontal reservation category-wise; their vacancies carry forward if unfilled. Outstanding sportspersons get 2% horizontal reservation. PwBD candidates get 4% horizontal reservation split equally among four disability groups (visual, hearing, locomotor/cerebral palsy/acid attack, and autism/intellectual/learning/mental illness). For scheduled area posts, reservation follows SC 5%, ST 45%, unreserved 50%. Candidates from outside Rajasthan in reserved categories are treated as general category applicants.
