CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, popularly known as CSIR-CEERI, is a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) established in 1953 and located in Pilani, Rajasthan. It functions under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and is recognized as one of India's premier research and development institutions in the field of electronics. The institute undertakes multi-disciplinary R&D activities across ten major research groups covering Advanced Information Technologies, Applied Electronics, Diamond Research, High-Frequency Devices and Systems, High-Power Microwave Systems, Institute R&D Facility, Semiconductor Process Technology, Semiconductor Sensors and Microsystems, Societal Electronics, and Vacuum Electron Devices. CSIR-CEERI also maintains additional centres at Chennai in Tamil Nadu and Jaipur in Rajasthan, enabling its research reach across the country. Applicants must be citizens of India as per the conditions applicable to central government recruitment. For Technical Officer posts, the essential qualification is a B.E. or B.Tech degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized institution. Alternatively, an M.Sc. or equivalent in Physics, Electronics, or Applied Electronics with a minimum of 55% marks is acceptable for TO-1. For the Computer Science post (TO-2), a B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc in Computer Science or an MCA including Integrated MCA with a minimum of 55% marks is required. For Technician (1) posts, candidates must hold a Secondary School Certificate (10th Standard) or equivalent with Science subjects and a minimum of 55% marks, along with an ITI certificate or National/State trade certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution. In lieu of ITI, two years of full-time apprenticeship training or three years of work experience in the concerned trade under a government ministry, department, organization, public sector undertaking, or autonomous body under Government of India, State, or UT is accepted. All qualifications must be from recognized universities or institutions. CGPA/SGPA holders must convert their grade to percentage as per their institution's formula. |

Reservation is applied as per central government and CSIR rules. SC candidates get 5 years upper age relaxation only for posts reserved for SC. ST candidates similarly get 5 years relaxation for ST-reserved posts. SC/ST applying against UR posts are treated at par with general candidates for age but are exempt from fee. EWS posts may be filled as unreserved if EWS candidates are unavailable. PwBD candidates receive 10 years age relaxation (15 years for SC/ST, 13 years for OBC) for reserved posts. Out of 8 Technical Officer posts, 2 are reserved for PwBD (VH and HH, backlog). Out of 14 Technician posts, 2 are reserved for PwBD HH and ID/MD including 1 backlog. Women candidates and SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen are fully exempt from application fee. |
