Punjab & Sind Bank is a public sector bank and a Government of India undertaking, headquartered at NBCC Building, Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi. The bank is inviting applications for the engagement of Apprentices across its branches spread over 29 states and union territories in India, under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. The apprenticeship program is designed to provide on-the-job training to fresh graduates, equipping them with practical banking knowledge and skills over a period of 12 months. Apprentices will be posted to specific districts as per their preference and the bank's administrative requirements. The engagement is purely on a training basis; apprentices will not be treated as employees of the bank and will not be entitled to any employee benefits. A monthly stipend is provided during the training period. The program covers a wide geographic spread, with vacancies distributed across major states including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Haryana, Maharashtra, and others, enabling candidates from across the country to participate in a structured banking apprenticeship under a nationalized institution. |

Candidates must be Indian citizens or fall within specified categories including subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, or persons of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries, subject to a Government of India eligibility certificate. The minimum age is 20 years and maximum is 28 years as on the cut-off date of May 1, 2026. The required educational qualification is a regular graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institute, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The educational qualification cut-off date is June 6, 2026. Candidates who have completed postgraduate qualifications are not eligible. Candidates with one year or more of work experience after completing their educational qualification are also ineligible. Candidates should not have completed five years after passing their qualifying examination. Proficiency in the local language of the state or union territory applied for is mandatory, and candidates must produce an 8th, 10th, 12th, or graduate level mark sheet evidencing the study of the relevant local language. CGPA or OGPA must be converted to percentage as per the university norms and indicated in the application. |

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates is provided as per Government of India guidelines. OBC candidates must submit a certificate with the Non-creamy Layer clause not older than one year; EWS certificate must be issued for the financial year prior to the year of application. Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) is on a horizontal basis under Section 34 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, covering Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, Orthopedically Challenged, Intellectually Disabled, and Multiple Disability categories. Only persons with Permanent Benchmark Disability of not less than 40% are eligible. Selected PwBD candidates are placed in their respective caste category (SC/ST/OBC/UR). |

Register on apprenticeship portals Complete 100% profile registration on both https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ and https://nats.education.gov.in/ before applying to the bank. Note the enrollment ID from the NATS portal. - 2
Gather required documents and credentials Keep ready a valid Aadhaar number, any one government photo ID, valid personal email ID, mobile number, passport-size photograph, and bank account details. - 3
Visit bank's official website Log on to https://punjabandsind.bank.in/ and click the relevant Apprentice Recruitment notification under the Recruitment section. - 4
Fill online application form Enter personal, educational, and category details accurately. Select preferred state and district. Mention your NATS enrollment ID in the application. - 5
Upload photograph, signature, and documents Upload scanned passport-size photograph, signature, live photograph (via webcam or mobile), thumb impression, and handwritten declaration in prescribed formats (JPG/JPEG for images, PDF for documents). - 6
Pay application fee online Pay the applicable non-refundable fee through the online mode only. Cash, cheques, or postal instruments will not be accepted. Bank transaction charges are to be borne by the candidate. - 7
